Lithuania to evacuate diplomats' families, some staff from Israel

VILNIUS, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Lithuania has decided to evacuate the families of its diplomats and some staff from Israel as the security situation continues to worsen, Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.

A rocket landed near the Lithuanian Embassy in Tel Aviv early Thursday morning, the Baltic News Service (BNS) reported.

The security situation in Israel deteriorated last week when Israel struck Iran first. As BNS reported earlier, some 100 Lithuanian citizens have been evacuated from Israel as a result. ■
